China Economic Information Network ( “CEInet” ), operated by CEInet Data Company, is a national information network that provides the broadest information sources about the nation's economic activities.

Founded in 1996, CEInet is sponsored by the State Information Center (SIC), an influential government think tank affiliated to the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), China's top macro-economic authority and planner. CEInet collects and aggregates wide resources via SIC's data network, which is China's largest one, supported by the authoritative government links and local links across 31 provinces and municipals in China.

CEInet is integrated with extensive resources, including economic forecasts, statistical databases, industrial analytics and models via SIC's nationwide data network into Intranet system an Internet platform. CEInet has a powerful capability to support decision-making for the governments at all levels, financial markets, academic communities, corporation groups, and overseas investors.

CEInet's VPN connects government information centers throughout over 100 cities and prefectures (incl. Hong Kong) of China. The company has over 200 employees with an average age of 29 who are specialized in economic research, industry analysis, business intelligence and information technology. Nearly 90% of them hold academic degrees of or above Bachelor, one third with Master's degrees or professional certifications.
