It was known from Xinjiang Power Corporation that Xinjiang power grid investment this year will arrive at 2.62 billion RMB, two times of the investment of last year.
        In 2007, Xinjiang Power Grid Corporation will invest 2.62 billion RMB to start construction of its first 750 kv transmission and transformer project, and 51 projects of 110 kv and above transmission and transformer stations. The line of 110 kv and above newly constructed will be 2442 km and transforming capacity will be 2.035 million KVA. The line of 110 kv and above put into operation will be 3150 km and transforming capacity will be 2.645 million KVA. Power sold will be 23.1 billion kwh, 15% growth than same period last year. Operating revenue realized should grow at 14.81%.
        Xinjiang Power Grid Corporation will push the cooperation among the development of ultra high voltage, super ultra high voltage, thermal power and hydro power, and construct two large power source bases to distribute power outside in Hami and Zhundong. Xinjiang Power Grid Corporation will optimize power grid planning to promote harmony development among different power grids.
