The China Regional Economic Development Report
Introduction
The China Regional Economic Development Report (CREDR) is a component of the Chinese Regional Economic Resources Database, produced by the CEInet Co., Ltd, a share-holding company dominated by the State Information Center. The materials of CREDR come from the information centers of 31 provinces, 16 central cities, and many other cities in China.

Mission
To provide the foundation for state governments’ macroeconomic policy-making;
To help the leaders of all provincial and municipal governments rightly grip the trend of local economies;
To make domestic and foreign investors easily understand the local markets and investment environment;
To give experts, scholars, faculties and students in college research materials.

Content of the Report
The China Regional Economic Development Report contains (1) monthly, quarterly and annual analytical reports of economic trends, (2) the 10th and 11th five-year programs of the economic and social development, (3) the statistical communiqués of the economic and social development, and (4) the governments’ work reports.

1. The Analytical Report of Economic Trends is the authoritative analytical materials that can help accurately feel the pulse of the regional economic growth, and closely follow the fast pace of economic development all over China. It widely covers the fundamental analysis of such aspects of the regional economies as the overall condition of the economy, agriculture, industry, investment in fixed assets, consumption, export and import, finance, and the total amount of foreign capital, etc. Also, it lays emphasis on the economic problems and difficulties encountered within the preceding month, quarter and year, and gives suggestions and solutions to these problems as well as a forecast of future economic performance.
The reports contain monthly, quarterly and annual analytical reports of economic trends, being updated over 300 pieces per year.

2. The Development Programs (1) display the 10th and 11th five-year programs of the economic and social development of the nation and all regions in China, (2) introduce the special programs of many aspects of China’s economy during the 10th-and-11th five years, including urbanization, agriculture, water conservancy, construction, transportation, energy, technology, education, ecological construction, environmental protection, population, the west region development, and informatization, (3) collect the 10th and 11th five-year programs of industries, including textile, machinery, building raw materials, light industry, food, electricity, coal, petroleum, chemistry, nonferrous metals, metal smelting, automobile, paper manufacturing, medical and pharmaceutical products, etc.

3. The Statistical Communiqués gather all national, provincial, and municipal statistical communiqués since 2000, indicating the general economic conditions.

4. The Government Work Reports compile all national, provincial, and municipal government work reports since 2001, comprehensively summarizing the governmental work in the preceding year and foreseeing the future policies and measures in the following year.
